Sebago Lake Boat Launch

The Portland Water District is seeking a qualified person of Boat Operator to help protect Maine's most important natural resource-Sebago Lake. The successful candidate will be responsible for patrolling the lake's restriction zones, educating the boating public regarding regulations associated with Sebago Lake as a public water supply for over 200,000 people in the Greater Portland area.

The shifts we are seeking to fill will be a shared position with one other employee for any number of the three shifts, Friday, Saturday and Sunday, 8:00am to 6:00pm from Mid-May through September. Candidate(s) should expect between 8 and 24 hours per week with a rate of $22.00/hour to start.

Boat operator training will be provided. The successful candidate will be dependable, responsible, friendly, able to maintain detailed records, and enjoy the outdoors.
